After completing a month of Go-Net missionary service in 2001, Garry and Mary Anne Fritts felt a call to return to South Africa.  In 2003 they began their first term of career missionary service in South Africa.

Garry served as the business manager for the Southern Africa region and for Wesleyan Evangelical Seminary.  Mary Anne was involved in compassionate ministries, served as hostess of the mission house, and mentored student interns from overseas.  They also led overseas’ work teams and served in various offices of The Wesleyan Church in Africa.

When the Fritts’ return to Africa, they will be relocating to Swaziland  where they will be involved in the daily operations and teaching opportunities at Emmanuel Wesleyan Bible College.

Garry and Mary Anne were called into missions at a mission convention in 1990 when God revealed to them that He could use “ordinary people just like us.”  Garry holds a B.S. degree in business administration and economics from Greensboro College.  Mary Anne earned a B.A. in psychology, a B.A. in human services, and a minor in special education from Elon University.  They have two children:  Phillip (86) who attends Bethany Bible College and Whitney (88) who attends Southern Wesleyan University.

The Fritts’ are eager to join the work God is already doing in Swaziland.  A verse that holds great significance for Garry and Mary Anne is John 15:5 NIV:  I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  This verse serves as a reminder that it is only by the remaining in God that His purposes are accomplished through us.
