Ken and Dawn Bishop, along with their three children, Eva (’94), Joshua (’96), and Stephen (’99), serve as career missionaries to Albania. They currently serve in an area of the country devastated by rapid urbanization. There is widespread poverty, lack of clean drinking water, and no church presence. The feeling of hopelessness within this area is overwhelming, yet the Bishops are confirmed by their Romans 15:4 calling of bringing hope through the encouragement of the Scriptures.
In 2003 Ken and Dawn were called out of the pews of their local church and from their careers to be part of spreading the gospel to the unreached people in Albania. They learned the value of discipleship and the need “to go and make disciples” throughout the world while serving as missions directors at their local church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and through working with small group Bible studies and discipleship.
Ken and Dawn will continue to serve in Albania by beginning Bible studies, discipleship groups, and ministries of compassion through World Hope International. The Lord has laid on their hearts the vision to see transformed communities through the working of Christ in individual lives.
Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate His faithfulness (Psalm 37:3).
